Sunday 24th Sept (A) Won 4-0 vs Brewmasters Reserves League Match
By Paul Newman
Troggs maintained thier 100% start to he 2006/07 season with a 4-0 victory away to Brewmasters despite the fact that much of the team were nursing bad hangovers.
Richard Moon opened the scoring with a neat finish from close range after 10 minutes. Troggs then went two up through leading scorer George Dyke, who hit another long range effort on 24 minutes, which the kind Brews keeper allowed in.
Moon then bagged a second and the troggs third goal with a powerful effort from 15 yards which was deflected in by a defenders head on 65. Club captain and general stoner Ben Gibbs finished off the proceedings with a a decent finish into the bottom corner after some lovely inter-play between Dyke and Newman. My MOM went to Sam Leggis who was inspirational at left back although Brewmasters gave the official MOM to Dyke because they know him.
Not a vintage Troggs performance lacking the usual 'easy on the eye' passing, but a controlled one and definately the right result for the club many are tipping as would be winners of the division.
added: It was later discovered that Veteran Striker Marcus Pearce had broken his arm in the warm up, which may explain his notable absence from the scoresheet.

Goals: Moon (2), Gibbo, Dyke
