Sunday 22nd October (A) won 7-2 vs Egerton League Match
Despite twice being behind in this game, Troggs always seemed in control. After a headed opener from the Egerton forward, Classy Marcus Pearce picked up the ball from moon, took one touch and elegantly lofted over the despairing keeper for his best goal yet in a Troggs shirt. Egerton again took the lead with a debatable goal after Grandad Smith was seemingly floored with a flailing elbow only for the ref to ignore this and allow the headed strike to stand.
Troggs wouldn't lie down and not only fought back but ran away with the result. First half strikes from Gibbs, and a second for pearce took them in 3-2 at the break and in control.
Roffey came on and began to run the defence ragid in his usual pacy style, putting a goal on a plate for free scoring midfielder Dyke and setting up Pearce for his first competitive hat trick in 8 years, well deserved for the stalwart forward. MOM sam Leggis topped yet another polished personal performance with a long overdue goal and Moon completed the rout after a clever quick free kick from Dyke.
