SEASON KICKS OFF AT HOME TO CAVALIERS
Tony Cartys reign will begin with a home league fixture vs newly promoted Ashford Cavaliers. Troggs fans, heartened by the summer signings and this weekends return of the self titled saviour of smarden football (Rich Moon), are expected to turn out in their tens. From all the pre-season friendlys, Carty looks set to start with a 4-4-2 formation thought he is believed to still be pondering his starting line up with Bruce Dyer (Tea overdose) Paul Newman (ankle), Pete Nayden (wife), Matt Smith (Rubbish Legs) and Dogman (rubbish hair) all nursing injuries. Carty was generally picked as a center half during the Newman era but many believe he fancies himself as a central midfield dynamo. He may opt to pick himself along side the enigmatic Dyke pushing Moon to the right wing, but with the returning Gibbs and with Adam in impressive pre-season form he may be forced to drop him self back into his more natural position.
