CARTY STEPS IN AS NEWMAN STANDS DOWN

Troggs Stalwart Defender Tony Carty has been named as the new Manager after Paul Newman sensationally quit, feuling speculation that he is in fact set to join Steve Mclaren in the England Set-up. Newman told Troggsfc.co.uk "I cannot commit to the whole of next season and so I would prefer to see the Troggs in Tony's small but capable hands." It is also believed that fan and media pressure caused Newman to re-consider his position. Carty, a managerial succes with Troggs u12's moves into his first senior role with a fantastic squad at his disposal. Assitant Manger George Dyke, who revealed he did consider the position but would like to spend at least one more year under a great manager, looks set to stay on as Tony's number 2 after already orchestrating 3 player signings this summer in GK Aaron Brown, Defender Nick 'Dogman' Parrock and former Charlton Striker James Kilford.

Tony pictured here with his wife on his way to his first days training today, is said to be relishing the challenge of the season ahead.
