Troggs win 3-0 Again !
Troggs continued their confident start to the season, winning 3-0 for the second week in a row at home to Red Heathens Reserves. Manager Carty admitted that the troggs did not push to their full potential and again started slowly. It took until 30 minutes in before Dyke found some space and then despatched a cross field pass to Adamson, who sheilded off the defender and smashed a strike emphatically into the bottom corner. Pearce beat the offside trap with an angled run early in the second half after Dyke slotted him through and he duly blasted in for Troggs second. It was the free scoring midfield man himself who scored the third, rounding two players in the box and powering past the keeper. <full report>
Brown kept his second clean sheet and was rarely troubled as a Troggs side, looking weary from saturdays exploits where 6 players were involved, had to carve out the 3-0 win. Fans and pundits alike feel they have yet to see the best from Carty's Troggs but can't complain at two confident 3-0 victories.
Elsewhere in the league, Troggs next apponents Bocca notched their second win 6-2 over Brewmasters. Ashford Rail and Appledore drew 2-2 leaving only the Troggs and Bocca with a 100% record and joint at the top on 6 points. Brabourne only managed 2 to Crusaders 4 and Egerton beat The Albion 6-2. <view League Table>
