Richard Moon (aka the Nana -pictured) has today put an end to speculation regarding his Troggs future. Moon released a short statement via his agent, Spankus Frank, today stipulating that he would be available for selection against league rivals ashford eagles on 27th Nov. Moon went on to blame a small faction of the smarden-based club's travelling support for the confusion. Moon has been unsettled at the club since the arrival of George Dyke as assistant Manager in the summer. In recent Press reports Dyke has described their relationship as 'strained'. It is understood that the two men are currently conversing through a third party, the team's journeyman left back Bruce 'chopper' Dyer. Moon refused to comment on the rift.

source: A genuine text message from Mooney, relayed to us here at Troggs FC by Bruce 'chopper' Dyer himself. This text message is currently believed to be the longest in the world. The winners here: the phone networks.

TroggsFc.co.uk contacted Dyke to hear his views on the matter and he responded in jest: "I see no problem with our relationship and I refuse to accept it will upset the harmony of the team, as suggested in some of the press. You only have to recall the succesfull sheringham and cole partnership at Man United; they didn't speak for 3 years and I see no reason why Mr. Mooney and I cannot follow suit"
There remains no official comment from the club and the Moongate saga continues.
